HPAI H5N1 in the United States

Highly pathogenic Avian Influenza H5N1, H5N2 and H5N8 were detected in 21 U.S. states from December 2014 to mid-June 2015. In January 2016, HPAI and LPAI H7N8 viruses were reported in Dubois County, Indiana. And, in early March 2017, HPAI and LPAI H7N9 viruses were reported in Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, and Georgia.
